This was probably my most ambitious poster for the WaPI series of posters up until this point. I wanted to test my 3d knowledge fully in a production environment by modeling a commercial transport minivan (a.k.a. matatu in these parts.) I fell short of my initial concept that was supposed to be a photo-real rendition because I used a detailed side reference from a press ad but made up the front.

Consequently I had to mess around with the image in Photoshop just to make it work for the audience. Overall I feel the concept works for the context in which it will be used as promotional material.

November’s poster will be designed by someone else, but I will be back with a bang in December or January.
